Hilary and Kris had one of the most beautiful Sebasco Resort weddings! We met this couple last fall when we did an engagement session in Portland, Maine. Fun, funny, and easy to talk to, we knew they’d have a great wedding, and we could hardly wait! Their wedding day was on a gorgeous, sunny, summer day, just perfect for a wedding on the lawn at Sebasco Harbor Resort in Phippsburg, Maine.

One of the elements that we love about weddings is the wedding day first look, because of the flow of emotion. Hilary and Kris had a wonderful first look, which you can see from the photos below. A first look gives the couple a bit of alone time in an otherwise hectic day. It also gives the groom a bit of glory in a day ordinarily focused on the bride.

After doing their first look, Hilary and Kris came along with us to do some artistic photos, another of our favorite parts of the wedding day. Our couples love the artistic set, because it’s one of the rare moments they get to be (almost) alone during the entire day. Because of this, we try to keep it light and easy. We want our couples to remember their wedding day as being fun, so we work quickly. This way they don’t get tired and the fun factor stays intact.
