Samoset Resort Wedding | Rockport Maine Wedding Photographers

Perri and Steve are such a fun loving, sweet couple. As are their parents and all their wonderful friends. We photographed their engagement session last summer in Port Clyde, Maine, and have been impatiently waiting their Samoset Resort wedding to arrive. Which it did, and, wow, what a wedding!!

Perri and her mother, Lorrie, have been meticulously planning this wedding for the past year, and they thought of so many wonderful touches. First of all, the florals were spectacular and the ballroom was transformed into a fairytale garden for this Samoset Resort wedding. Secondly, the band, The Elements, from NYC, rocked this reception with the utmost energy and unimaginable sound. One of the very best wedding dance parties, ever! The dance floor was overflowing the entire night. Also, Perri in her Oscar de la Renta gown, with cathedral length veil, and Steve in Hugo Boss, both perfectly fitting for them literally and figuratively, were simply elegant. The photos of their wedding day first look, still make us tear up when we see them. Just breathtaking! Finally, the afterparty!! The silent disco and the pizza by Uproot Pizza Co, ended this party into the wee hours of the next day.

Of special note, the theme throughout the two days of festivities, was the tremendous love that family and friends have for Perri and Steve. Over and over, again, during welcome speeches and toasts, it was mentioned how endearing Perri and Steve are. We’ve only seen them a couple of times, and we can’t help but agree.

In addition to the wedding, we were on hand during the rehearsal dinner in Port Clyde, where Perri’s parents have a home. The lobster dinner, on the dock was unparalleled. Larger in scale than many Maine weddings, the setting and the ambience were superb. What a fabulous way to begin a wedding weekend!
