There were many key points of this amazing day for the Portland Maine Island Wedding of Katherine and Christian, it ran as smooth as can be imagined! Lots of detailed planning on the part of Katie’s parents, the couple themselves, and their top-notch vendor team was part of the equation, for sure. The day...
While drizzle and light rain persisted through the day, not a single planned outdoor activity had to be omitted. And the plus side is always the more comfortable temperatures and the sweet light afforded by the veil of clouds. After prep at the bride’s home and the groom’s hotel, everyone arrived in plenty of time at arguably the most beautiful church in the state of Maine, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland. Bus transportation brought everyone to a chartered ferry at the Casco Bay Lines terminal. The ride to Peaks allowed for some really fun photo moments! Once on island, despite the sprinkles, we boarded a golf cart and headed to the far (read: quiet) side of the island, also as seen in the photo set above. Lots of love and family unity abounded, with many groups of family and friends photo interspersed with dancing and a tremendously great time had by all!
