Norway Maine Wedding Photography | Favorite Maine Towns

Sure, we knew that Norway, Maine existed, but how strange that neither Russ or I had never had the opportunity to visit. Until June 2015, that is, when we scheduled an engagement session in Norway. Little did we know we would end up loving this charming town and area, and especially Norway Maine wedding photography! Nestled in the Oxford Hills region, Norway enjoys close proximity to some of the state’s best skiing. Also home to Lake Pennesseewassee, more commonly known as Norway Lake, which makes Norway a great recreation destination. So basically you have spectacular mountain views, rolling hills, and a gorgeous lake! Then there’s Granite Ridge Estate and Barn, just one of the most spectacular Maine wedding venues!! What could be better?! Oh, just the cutest downtown you could ever hope for.

A huge draw for us, being Maine wedding photographers, is Granite Ridge Estate and Barn. We recently had our first opportunity to work there when we were hired by clients to photograph their wedding at Granite Ridge. We were thrilled to have this opportunity as many of our weddings take place on the coast of Maine, which we adore, but sometimes it’s really nice to have a change of pace. Several things we enjoyed about Granite Ridge are the spectacular scenery, the peacefulness, the estate property that serves as home and base for the bride or couple before the wedding. Then there are the owners and staff, the views of Mount Washington, NH and the Presidential Range. And, oh yes, those sunsets!
