Laura and Andrew have TWO anniversaries to celebrate on August 20 each year now. One is their wedding anniversary, August 20, 2010, when they were officially married in a quiet simple service at Maine’s Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth. The second reason is that August 20, 2011 was their official wedding CELEBRATION, and it was done in top style for sure! With preparations in the Old Port at Studio One salon and area hotels, followed by a fun photo shoot along the waterfront (fitting with Andrew’s US Coast Guard career and Laura and Andrew’s extensive love and background in sailing) and Old Port, and then trolley rides to the elegantly prepared Falmouth Country Club. With a great cocktail hour, dinner, and partying with the J Biddy Band, their official wedding celebration will rank right there with the actual wedding day one year earlier in terms of special memories. One cool note, their napkins simply said “August 20″….. may be one of the only times in my relatively extensive career with weddings that there is good reason to omit the year! Well done Laura and Andrew! Congratulations!
