Freeport Maine Wedding Photographer
Katy and Martin had a beautifully elegant wedding at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine, Saturday June 28, 2014. The weather was sunny and clear, the gardens at the Harraseeket were in bloom, and Katy and Martin’s family and friends came from more than twenty states (besides New England!) and from as far away as Hawaii. As a Freeport Maine wedding photographer Russell Caron Wedding Photography was honored to photograph such a special day in their lives. Here is their wedding story.
Katy, her matron of honor, bridesmaid, and Martin’s best woman had their hair and makeup done at Head Games Salon in Portland, Maine. Below, Katy is silhouetted in the front window.
Below, Russell uses a special lens, called a fisheye, which is an extremely wide angle lens, to capture Katy and Martin reciting their vow as the entire wedding assembly looks on.
Leon Gorman Park is but a scant mile from the Harraseeket and the hustle and bustle of downtown Freeport, and, as you can see from the four photos below, devoid of tourists. We found some beautiful light on the walking trail and the newlyweds had a few moments of solitude.
One of our signature images is of the bride and groom’s first dance with starburst lights on either side of the dance floor. Katy and Martin had a beautifully choreographed (and fun!) first dance, as you can see from the photo below.
The band Soho came up from Boston! There are some fun scenes below where the guests really got into the moment, especially when they formed a Conga line around the dance floor.
