Ludlow Massachusetts Wedding Photographers
Jenn and Rob’s wedding day blessed us with nice light, great locations, enough breaks from raindrops to never get wet, and wonderful friends and family!
We met Jenn and Rob just over a month ago when they came to visit our studio in Biddeford, Maine. One of the first things that struck us about Jenn, besides being friendly and outgoing, was the fact that she was very well organized. Jenn had a wedding day itinerary that covered the entire day, from start to finish.. Talk about making our lives easier, we love organized brides! And we love being Ludlow Massachusetts wedding photographers, and you will see why as you looking through the photos below!
Saturday dawned overcast and cloudy, but as long as there wasn’t a torrential downpour, we didn’t mind. As we pulled into Ludlow, MA, it started to rain, and we were still optimistic that the weather would clear. We photographed the bride and groom’s details, keeping an eye on the weather. The ladies were having their hair and makeup done, clad in bright pink robes that were fun and festive. They changed into beautiful coral satin, floor length dresses; such a complementary color. The guys, who were at a separate location, were chatting in the living room. They wore dark suits, with coral-colored ties, matching the attendants’ dresses perfectly. At last, just before we had to depart for the church, there was a break and we were able to get outside for some terrific photo opportunities.
The trolley arrived, and we were all grateful for the air-conditioned interior. We had a very smooth and comfortable trolley ride to St. Elizabeth’s Church. The finishing touches were being done at the church, and the boutonnieres were awaiting the men. Rob was in charge of affixing the flowers and one by one, the groomsmen came forward to be pinned, while I snapped a photograph of each one.
Friends and family were gathering for the ceremony. A bagpiper had been hired and he took up a position at the base of the stairs leading to the church. As he solemnly paced back and forth, he piped his solemn tunes, looking resplendent in full regalia. I paused to listen and smile…I just love the sound of bagpipes! The trolley rounded the corner, carrying the bride and her attendants. I grabbed a quick photo or two while they were lining up outside the church, then went inside to take up my position at the front of the church so I could photograph Rob as he and Jenn said their vows.
The organist played the processional and the bridal party, in single file, walked down the aisle. With the exception of the three flower girls, who came down together. How precious they looked! Then it was Jenn’s turn, and she, like all brides, glowed as she approached the altar. Monsignor Harold, who was officiating the Catholic Mass, is a relative of the family. Three family members took turns with the readings. The mothers of the bride and groom lit the unity candle. The parents of the groom brought the offertory gifts to the altar for communion. It was a very family oriented, very special, very warm ceremony.
At the Gremio Lusitano Club, DJ Brian Nicks had everyone dancing up a storm on the floor with his awesome mix of dance music. Friends and family were having a wonderful time. During the toasts, it was said repeatedly, what a wonderful couple Jenn and Rob make, and how they are perfect for each other. We couldn’t agree more. Be it when we are Maine wedding photographers, Ludlow Massachusetts wedding photographers, New England wedding photographers, destination wedding photographers… it matters not; we simply love all weddings!
