What we’re going to say here is not because I (Russ) have known Kayla since she was a toddler; it’s not because we photographed sister Brianna’s wedding two years ago; nor is it because Kayla’s godfather officiated the wedding. It’s not even because people came from continents all over to attend this wedding. This was a wedding to remember (and we will forever remember) the incredible LOVE that Kayla and Tai have for each other. We’re going to sound like a broken record when we say: We are SO fortunate to work with the sweetest possible couples week after week! It’s the absolute truth. These two literally were SHINING with love beaming from their hearts through their eyes. Their ear-to-ear smiles that started at their first-look and never stopped all night. It’s simply because this is what defines these two, it’s who they are.

Kayla and Tai’s paths crossed a few years ago as they both work in the entertainment industry. Their work brings them to all corners of the globe, and it was, we think, divine intervention that made their fine lines cross. With their first-look and their wedding ceremony at Maine Audubon in Falmouth, the reception turned industrial chic in downtown Portland at O’Maine Studios. Furthermore, Kayla’s mom Lauren oversaw the beautiful decorations and didn’t miss a single detail. Music is in the family, and both Jay (the officiant) and Kayla’s dad Mick, along with many of their musician friends, brought down the house with dancing and partying once the emotional toasts and speeches concluded.
