Gorgeous Wedding Photographs Countdown | 24 & 23 | The Top 50 Images of 2015
Churches, once again (see yesterday!) are setting the theme for our gorgeous wedding photographs countdown today. Few could argue that the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, Maine is gorgeous. The same holds true for St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Kennebunkport. These are among our very favorite churches in Maine. And today we feature them in our countdown.
December 14, 2015 and these two church photos make our list of our #24 and #23 gorgeous wedding photographs!
#24
Probably our most favorite church in Maine, if not anywhere, is The Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception in Portland, Maine. And why wouldn’t it be? We chose this as our #24 gorgeous wedding photographs countdown in our Top Photo of 2015. Taken during a beautiful day for Ali and Bryan’s September wedding. The symmetry Liz carefully captured by her exact placement, even the red-covered prayer hymnals all precisely in the backs of the pews. This image totally fell together with the guests (even a relatively large wedding like this illustrates the size of this church with the plentiful remaining capacity!), the beautiful white light, the stained glass, and the magic of our super-wide lens we use almost exclusively for this, another of our ‘signature shots’. #23
Audrey is an Episcopal priest, thus more than fitting that she and Chris married at the iconic St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, in her home town of Kennebunkport, Maine in August. And it was more than fitting that we asked her to come back in once everyone had left for a few minutes as we played with the natural light pouring in an open doorway. It was magic all around, it was a fantastic and heartfelt wedding service (I think there were almost more priests than non-priests present!) on a perfect summer weekend. It was easy to land this as our #23 favorite image of 2015.
