Summer 2021 threw many weather challenges our way on weekends. This happened to Allison and Joe, too. But they didn’t miss a beat, and now that it’s all said and done, I can almost bet they wouldn’t change a thing even if they could.

As the late afternoon hour the ceremony was planned for the waterfront dock, a large weather system rolled through with enough torrents of rain that Allison decided to turn to the backup plan. It was amazing how in minutes, with no fear of getting wet, the new location was fully established under an open-air, beautifully-roofed pavilion that Camp Skylemar had recently built. Just in time! Great work from the Camp staff, guests, and even other vendors. Teamwork wins!

More important than all of this was the fun that you can see in the photos of these two. And their loving families and friends who made the wedding a 3-day weekend. Have you ever seen genuine smiles and laughter, and even tears of joy, that these two exemplified all day long?
