Southern Maine Wedding | Southern Maine Wedding Photographers
Sam and Jon’s Southern Maine wedding day was during a Nor’easter! The forecast was (correctly) for 100% chance of heavy rain. BUT, Kelly, Sam’s mom had a brilliant idea for us to get some awesome photos. Do a wedding day first look, the day before! We were incredibly fortunate in that we were all flexible and quickly arranged this in our schedules. In all our wedding experience, we’ve never come across this exact scenario before, and it was genius!
Originally, Sam and Jon had opted to NOT do a wedding day first look. They preferred to see each other for the first time only when Sam walked down the aisle. The first look is, among other great things, the time to focus on the groom; seeing his bride, in a private moment, for the first time. We love Jon’s reaction below, as he sees just how gorgeous Sam looks. We just live for these special moments!
The first many photos are from those we took on the day before Sam and Jon’s wedding; and starting with the rainy day photo of the wet country road starts the actual wedding day set. Don’t miss the fun sparkler sendoff at the end!
It may have been raining all day, but the love and laughter at this reception was beautiful to see. Take a look at some of our favorite images of Sam and Jon’s wedding day with a fantastically fun and loving group of family and friends!
