About the image: First of all, It was a warm and picture-perfect August day in Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park, Maine. Most of all, like all our couples, Meredith and Jeff were so sweet, and so perfect for each other. Shortly after doing their first look at the Jesup Trail at Acadia National Park, Meredith asked to go to iconic Sand Beach. Since we had the time, we headed there and found one remaining parking spot near the beach. How lucky was that?
Furthermore, one of the things we love about this image is how it wasn’t at all scripted. It was a very real moment with Meredith asking if she could stroll over to touch her toes in the cool Atlantic Ocean while we moved into a perfect position. Finding a way to crop out everyone else that was there (yes, it was a very busy and warm Saturday! And, there was record-breaking attendance with the park’s 100th anniversary, and literally a few thousand people very close-by) the image suggests pure solitude. It was a moment of reflection by a bride about to marry the love of her life. Another thing we love, is the perfect swirl of water approaching Meredith, even seems like Caribbean-like blue-green water. Most of all, it’s one of those fleeting moments that will last forever.
